Sign up for “A Ticket to Disney” Auditions

Get Ready - Auditions for "A Ticket to Disney" are coming!

The last time Norton Singers produced a Disney revue was three years ago and it proved to be an event for all the family to enjoy: both onstage and in the audience. This time around we intend to spread the magic even further, through an extra special event called “A Ticket to Disney: Magical Journeys through Music and Memories.” This show promises something for everyone involved, adults and children, as we take the audience through a magical musical journey through the Magic Kingdom, to lands of fantasy, adventure and tomorrow!

The show will be directed by Holly Chin, with music direction by Holly Chin and Anna McReynolds and choreography by Melisa Franklin.

To give families the best possible opportunity to participate, we will be holding auditions in two different time frames this summer: Round One will be held on Monday, August 14 starting at 7 p.m. at the Norton Media Center, Norton Crossing, 184 West Main St. 2nd Floor in Norton, MA 02766 (right next to Home Plate). Round Two will take place two weeks later, on Sunday, August 27 starting at 2 p.m. at Mockingbird Studios, located at 905 S Main St, Mansfield, MA 02048, right next to the Xfinity Center. Callbacks are TBD for now.

As with Young Frankenstein, auditions will be by appointment. We will be blocking off times from 7-8, 8-9 and 9-10 on the 14th and 2-3, 3-4, and 4-5 on the 27th. If you know which block you'd like to be in, please contact our award-winning stage manager Sharon Silberman. First come, first served! To receive an appointment, email Sharon at spoohs@aol.com with your preferred date and she will schedule your time. Please do include your phone and name just in case and put Disney auditions in your email subject line. Of course, walk-ins are also welcome!

All auditioners should prepare 16 bars each of a ballad and an up-beat tempo song, and should bring sheet music.

Rehearsals will take place two nights a week, typically on Monday and Thursdays and from 7 to 9 p.m., starting on Thursday, September 7. There will be four performances the first week in November: November 3-5.

We're SO excited about this production, so do yourself a favor and join us, won't ya? A splendid time is guaranteed for all!

  1. I am signing up on behalf of my daughter, Chloe Luciano, who is 10 years old and would love to tryout for this play. I am open on the times for audition blocks. Please advise.
